Turning off ComSkipper as the default (startup) state #75

Hi,

I'd like the CommSkipper menu option (the one I see when I am looking at a
given EyeTV recording) to be OFF by default. I can turn it off manually, but
after rebooting the Mac it is ON again by default.

If I understand this option correctly, turning it OFF means I need to manually
hit the Forward button on my IR remote to skip commercials, but commercials
continue to get market automatically. This is exactly the behaviour I'm looking
for because sometimes the MarkCommercials script gets it wrong. It is a lot
easier to fast foward through at 30 seconds per click, the rewind at 10 seconds
per click.

So, what needs changing so it is OFF by default?

I'm running PyeTV-2.6 for Snow Leopard on my MacMini Server.

cheers
-randall

Apple menu->System preferences->User accounts->Login items.

Well yes, that more or less works. It works for what I want. But I don't think
it works the way you would expect. If I tell ComSkipper not to load at all (as
you suggest), I get the behaviour I want. But, now I cannot turn ComSkipper ON.
I can turn it ON but it doens't stay on. Or in short - it doesn't work.
Commercials are not skipped. And If I re-launch FR to check how it is set, it
is always back to OFF. Just thought ya might like to know that.
