I had a quick look at building the project, I've updated some docs and added CI with Travis to the project: https://travis-ci.com/github/markus-wa/vimix/builds/171469761
I'm not sure if this is something you are interested in, but I figured I'd make the PR anyway. If so, you will want to follow this guide to get Travis to work under your user instead of just mine: https://docs.travis-ci.com/user/tutorial/#to-get-started-with-travis-ci-using-github
