Hello brunolalb, thank you for the amazing project you setup.
I thought about doing a similar project with the Kobo Touch I have lying around, but couldn't wrap my head around the Kobo Touch System and how to get some Python running and drawing on the screen.
You project gave so much insight and motivation. I tried running the yawk on my Kobo Touch and fixed some stuff along the way to actually get it running. Everything works fine now for me and I want to give something back.
I would love to use the Python3.8 that is supplied by kobo-stuff-1.5.N-r16911, so I will maybe have that as a PR next time.
I you have any questions about the code, please let me know. If you have any questions about python(3) in general, also let me know. Maybe we can polish this a bit more, as I have some time on my hands with all this corona situation going on.
