Assets in repeats are orientated vertically with no rotation. This is ok for simple horizontal traces, but repeats on grillages are mapped to the surface which may be inclined - this may be unwanted.
Either:
repeats have a the opportunity for a full location/orientation transform, not good usability
repeats have a 'make this vertical' option, which should be easy to use but not very versatile
