Files containing DUP character S throw an error on purpose in all versions of readJDX. This is because the meaning of S is not clear. The original publications if read carefully suggest S is not even needed, yet it is found in some JCAMP-DX files. Correspondence with some of the original authors of the standard have not cleared this up. Ignoring it does not work.
