Country calling code not allowed for contacts

Given that universities tend to have international students who will have numbers from different countries, users would expect country calling code to be accepted but this is not the case.

Team's Response

As our target audience is SoC university students, it is unlikely for the average user to run into this problem. Furthermore most international students will likely get a local number, and a workaround exists, which is to add the country code without the "+" symbol.
