When navigating from the graph to the editor, start an "editing session". Then whenever you open a link from the document, it should show the new text spatially in a network. Just like in the graph, but each node represented as full content instead of just a colored circle.
Then when wishing to create new links, the user can drag within the space to create either "side-links" or "hierarchical links"
