I basically don't use plate mounted stabilizers, and although I tried to have a "one size fits all" plate cutout, it doesn't work well for Durock v2 stabilizers, which are regarded as some of the best screw in stabilizers. (Edit - after reading more on reddit, they are apparently not some of the best, but certainly pretty nice)
So to get the best possible fit and performance, the top plate cutout should be changed to accommodate durock stabilizers and other PCB-mount, screw-in stabilizers.
