gui-wm/hyprland: Maybe needs gcc-12.1 specifically? #28

I've been having issues trying to install hyprland, as the compile was failing again and again. I checked on the hyprland github, and most probably it needs gcc-12.1 specifically according to this comment. Is it possible to specify which gcc version a package needs?

thanks for the report, it now errors out at the configure part and gives the reason😺

Is it possible to specify which gcc version a package needs?

You can try things mentioned here - https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1051796.html But I haven't done these for anything except switching some packages to clang instead of gcc, different gcc versions might be harder (or not?). Best of luck.
