For some parts of ALA, a search does not start a drop-down list.

Drop-down list PRESENT - these are OK

http://regions.ala.org.au/
http://www.ala.org.au/australias-species/ (Search for a species)
http://www.ala.org.au/data-sets/ (Search for occurrence records)
http://www.ala.org.au/get-involved/ (Submit a species record)
http://biocache.ala.org.au/occurrences/search?q=
http://collections.ala.org.au/

Drop-down list ABSENT
http://bie.ala.org.au/ (In the Free text search for taxa box)
http://spatial.ala.org.au/ (probably doesn't need it)
http://cs.ala.org.au/bdrs-ala/home.htm

Drop-down list without common names
http://biocache.ala.org.au/ (Simple Search - the drop-down list includes 
scientific names - clever but confusing) 

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. http://cs.ala.org.au/bdrs-ala/home.htm
2. Type into the text box in header bar

What is the expected output? 
No drop-down box

What do you see instead?
A drop-down box

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
FF10, IE8 on WinXP

Please provide any additional information below.
This is low priority. Fix for consistency only.

August 2013: this issue is as good as fixed.
For the pages where the drop-down list was absent, 
http://bie.ala.org.au/ is now working
http://spatial.ala.org.au/ doesn't need it
http://cs.ala.org.au/bdrs-ala/home.htm is obsolete, I think
http://biocache.ala.org.au/ doesn't have any drop down list and probably 
doesn't need it.
