501 error for invalid field name #549

the field information service (http://spatial.ala.org.au/ws/field/) gives a 500 
error for some invalid field names, e.g. 
http://spatial.ala.org.au/ws/field/cl855. Other invalid field names just return 
an empty response, which seems preferable e.g. 
http://spatial.ala.org.au/ws/field/bilbobaggins
