Extract Australia boundary from outline basemap to shapefile (pref) for ALA4R #707

Can a basic outline of Australia be extracted from the world outline basemap 
for use in the ALA4R library to enable rapid visualization. Shapefile if 
possible.

Hope to release ALA4R within a few weeks.

I'd just use the WMS services for this. See geoserver documentation.

The layers of interest is: ALA:world
