If you download the new mycellium wallet, they have a new button that goes straight to the camera scanning. Its a good UX implementation. if you think about it, when a user wants to send some bitcoins to someone. the recipient already has their QR out already. Why does the sender need to take extra steps to click on SEND and then click on SCAN. why not just SCAN immediately.
This also solves the issue of when users go pay at businesses. The businesses already have inputted the total cost into the QR generated via bitpay or some other processor. All the sender really needs to do is just click SCAN instead of SEND.
Make a new icon representing a camera so users can just scan immediately then brings them to the SEND page to confirm all the data before clicking finalize.
Also this would be ideal if you can create a widget/shortcut that does this exact SCAN functionality from the home screen. This eliminates the step of having to open up the app when paying someone.
