Set up for unity personal is very unclear #200

Since unity personal does not have a tool tab I probably have to do it manually. Unfortunately, there is insufficient data to set it up or needs clearer instructions or pictures of what I need to do.

@xiaogou Unity personal doesn't have a tool tab?? Do you mean the item in the primary menu? - If Inventory Pro doesn't show up in Tools / X - You likely have a compilation error; In fact I use Unity personal myself :)

Have you tried restarting Unity / Your PC? Also, what version of Unity are you using?

5.3.2f1 I have used previous versions and don't recall ever having the tool tab. That is why I was asking for a clarification of a manual way of attaching the editor to an empty game object. As I am not sure how to do it. If you can walk me through the process it may benifit others in setting up inventory pro who may experience the same problem I have

When selecting an Inventory item database there should be a button "Open in editor", does this work / open the editor? Also, did you use the upgrade guide to upgrade Inventory pro in the past? (a clean update?). I'm currently using the personal version, so it shouldn't be something pro / personal related.

ok it seems to be working now. I had to start a clean project and load inventory pro and restart the project to initialize it and get the tools tab to set itself up. I won't even guess what is happening internally with unity. Thank you for your time helping me debug the issue.

Glad to know you've fixed it. If you figure out what was causing it please let me know so I can help others who may find them selves in similar situations :)
