So thinking about this, I don't know if this is possible. Stuff like images need to be hosted from somewhere; currently I just embed some DB's images (like themoviedb.org or thetvdb.com). With local assets, all of your images are stored on disk, so you can't include them in emails like that AFAIK.
I might do something like having a missing image "image" for the art, to indicate a local copy, but I need to spend some time thinking about how I want to implement that.
