I confirm that it does'nt boot on the EEE 701 4G with USB.
(I don't have an external CD-ROM drive)
The boot menu is displayed continuously, in an infinite loop, the countdown
restarts
at 10 when:
- the countdown reaches 0
- pressing Enter key
I tried disabling various options from the boot command line, but nothing
worked.

I'm using Acer Aspire One and it doesn't boot from USB
If i disable vga mode in boot, the boot process ends with root shell.
Maybe some of these errors would help to understand whats happening:
....
A N D R O I D [ 8.717290] bio too big device loop0 (2 > 0)
[ 8.717637] SQUASHFS error: sb_bread failed reading block 0x1
[ 8.718064] SQUASHFS error: unable to read superblock

It boots to just the logo screen. All else stops and I gave it 5 minutes. I
have a
Quad core - With Raid 2tb Hard Drives.
Bummer (No error displayed) Just stopped.

The superblock issue implies an improper formatting or bootrecord/label, and
the
fact that this is happening in squashfs suggests further that the system FS is
messed up in someway.

we expect the next iteration?

Both .iso files, (usb and CD) although having the right MD5sum, are
non-bootable.
They are NOT recognized as valid ISO files by NeroLinux.
On any PC, I ended with NTldr not found.

I use USB_STICK 16GB (also used a CF_FLASH 2GB with the same result), the image
"liveandroidv0.3.iso" works OK in vmware, and in other real machine appears
image
logo, but in HP mini 2133 (Intel ATOM), startup ends in prompt:
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
MD5SUM of the image is correct:
liveandroidv0.3.iso 100% e0c5c305f78cd958dbaea3716c82296f
with "dmesg" I see these messages:
....
[ 16.876246] bio too big device loop0 (2 > 0)
[ 16.876521] SQUASHFS error: sb_bread failed reading block 0x1
[ 16.876851] SQUASHFS error: unable to read superblock
....
[ 16.877669] aufs test_add:209:init[1]: unsupported filesystem, /mnt/system
(rootfs)
....
Following the comment of "13. Spartango" I reformatted USB_STICK with a
different
block:
I tried to reformat with FAT32 and FAT for all possible blocks (predetermined
by
windows, 4096, 8192, 16k, etc) but still gives the same message.
Any other solution?

Yeah i am having the same issue on the Acer Aspire One. All i get is the Live
Android

stops
flashing once i get to the Live Android Screen. BUMMER

rob.mcmillen: You should try android-x86 project which has much better
compatibility.
Aspire one runs well. See http://www.android-x86.org or

Asus Surf 2g using the usb iso i get the "/bin/sh: can't access tty; job
control
turned off" however using the live cd iso image for 09 from android-x86 and
using
unetbootin to put it on jump drive Im able to boot. I still get the "/bin/sh:
can't
access tty; job control turned off" error but just give it a minute and it loads
right up. everything so far is working I need to check wifi etc later. May
attempt
install to ssd hd

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. make live usb with android v0.3 and unetbootin
2. boot with usb select default option or 800x600
3. stop on splash screen
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tested with android v0.3
Please provide any additional information below.
