Workflow notes and thoughts. The workflow itself will be documented in the wiki

Rough outline:

• Brief
• Sketching & blocking
• Blockout
• Modeling
• Modeling details
• Landing gear animation
• Decals detailing
• UV mapping
• Shader setup
• Baking base maps
• Shading&texturing
• Baking textures (diff, spec, norm, glow, pattern)

DecalMachine Baking

• Decals bake to their parent
• Paneling needs to be UV-ed properly to bake properly (extrusion)
• Sometimes decal baking forgets about properly doing the mask for subset decals (so no transparent area on the decal, which can cause shading issues)
• No point in having a separate model for decaling. Use High LoD!
