What happened?

11 s - 12 s stream latency increase (at least in Huawei Mate 20 Pro) compared to the native Twitch app v13.1.0 (c).

The native app has practically identical latency (+/- 200 ms) than running Twitch in browser on the same device.

I couldn't find any function to get lower latency in this mod (followed the basic install route). Maybe I missed something? Though the native app doesn't have any low latency toggle either (always in low latency mode).

Even with current latency I use this mod for "background noise streams", because Channel Points auto-redeem is really nice, everything functions quite reliably / smoothly and visual design is neat / practical. With low latency this would be a killer mod and I wouldn't mind paying for it (single purchase, no monthly subscription).
