no ability to extract alpha channel as an image. #9

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.1.0 on xp sp3

provide any additional information below.
original ggd had an option to view the alpha channel as an image which could 
then be extracted/saved as a separate image by pressing A button to view it, 
then save it as an image which could then be edited, altered or repositioned 
before re-applying it in a graphic editor like paintshop pro or photoshop. 

this one's ability to view the image with alpha pre-applied is nice, but also 
makes it impossible to extract the alpha channel itself to modify it anymore.

would it be possible to get an option to either view alpha as image, or save 
the alpha channel only as an image?

I personally did not think the feature was all that useful when the alpha 
channel could be applied directly, which is why I did not include it. It should 
not be hard to implement though.
