It is not a perfect doctrine, but what it lacks does not interfere with the potency of duty to service, to honor, to the serving and protecting of the people. This move serves both to arm the service men and women, who took a vow of moderate pay in service of the people, with continuity of service across generations, across cultures. It reinforces Asian American relations while connecting our current service men and women to the most honorable of knighthoods in modern history, the Samurai. It is by the grace of Christianity to which this sort of cultural fix has come to pass. In that, while the Bushido has no explicit rules about Religion or about Policy for that matter, it speaks to the Christian specifically, but is universal enough to appeal to all paths of divination. The bulk of the US based policy enforcers, the bulk of Western Policy Enforcement, are at least predominately descended from, Christian principles.
We ask so much of our service men and women, lest we provide them with the best frameworks to perform their service, safely and with integrity.
