Another scenario to consider when doing this:
So when it is a credit card, there are multiple purchases.
I pay the $190 on my credit card and split the total $190 and put -$150 toward my clothes bucket and -$40 to my gas bucket. Then the next week:
I pay the credit card bill of $60, but I want to categorize by doing a negative amount to my clothes bucket and the $100 to my groceries bucket.
In the above scenario, only the CC payment transactions are tracked, and there's no way to categorize the top transaction here to reflect the refund:
Issue
It doesn't appear possible to split a transaction with a portion of that going into income.
Desired Result
To be able to put part of a transaction into income, and the rest into a bucket.
Use Case
I have reimbursements that are bundled with additional things. I want to make sure I balance my work expenses while I treat the additional as income since it doesn't have 1-1 payments.
Current Workaround
I put the full amount into a budget and then remove money from that budget. This makes the transaction list much less clear on what was intended.
