[Suggestion] Emergency Automatic Activation of Redeployable Parachute module. #36

The parachute module cant really be used with any powered flight module because of control conflicts. It would be nice if there was an automatic emergency mode where if the suit runs out of energy / fuel / overheats mid flight or for some reason encounters a problem the parachute module should automatically engage when the player gets within Xmeters of the ground if they are falling faster than a safe speed

This is a pretty cool idea.

The parachute module is unobtainable without cheats and not finished... I forgot it actually did anything in its current state. It's actually called "redeployable" because it was first made when parachutes were a stackable consumable that could only be used once per fall.

The module is intended to be impossible to equip with any other flight item because it's actually a hoverpack with no fly speed under the hood. I never got around to assigning the module exclusion settings. The way the PowerSuit is currently coded, flight while the suit is shut down is impossible, so implementing your suggesting (emergency recovery) is not feasible right now.

I'm not sure if this module will ever be released (at least, under this name) because people will expect it to control like the U8 overhauled vanilla parachute and be disappointed when it doesn't. I suggest using the U-Jelly Boots module in the mean time, which protect the user from fall damage as long as the suit has power, the closest existing feature to your description.

The next release of the mod will have the module's name and description updated accordingly.

Ah I think I know what happened here I was using custom game settings to turn off progression so I could focus on a mega build it might have had the unintended effect of unlocking hidden research for legacy and debug items. Did not even realize this was a testing item.
