Multi-slot groups in boolean mode #738

as dissussed in the past. Grouping of a few slots to be used in boolean mode (like M3D). With the implementation of DIFS this has become more desirable to have

this would require duplication of DE function / method combo when enabled.

In theory it is easy :) In practice ???

In practice it is difficult, but possible.
