Why not attach a file or image when writing private messages?

I've seen a guide on this on the BuddyPress site. The codebase is getting harder to manage with all these features. I will look at this and maybe add it.

Maybe this is help you as inspiration https://cs.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-message-attachment/ But there is bad that the files are not stored in folders after day and month. When thousands of files would then slowed ftp.
