Like the "Facts of Life" idea (issue #36), things like "As practical advice for the debugging stage" (Chapter 4) could be a scaffolding to help the reader implement a nontrivial (and not in book) example. Could be a bulleted list in an appendix that repeats (and points to) in-text paragraphs.

There will be a related bulleted list near end of Chapter 8, but this suggestion no longer inspires me.
