I have tried to install lifutils from windows 32 release 1.7.10 on Windows XP SP3 fresh install, but any of the command-line applications I've tried so far result in a windows dialog box indicating the program is not a valid win32 application.
As my working environment (depending on a peripheral with only windows xp driver support) necessitates windows xp, I wish to use this environment if possible. In this installation I am using Windows XP SP3 however have not installed any specific runtime environments (VC runtime, dot net, etc.); are there any such per-requisites?
I have searched the information found at bug400/lifutils and haven't found any guidance as to supported versions of Windows (other than indicating Windows 10), nor any indication of Windows environment dependencies (I may not have looked in the right places.)
This isn't some godawful OS-specific application, the problem is just probably that the default MSVC toolset targers Vista+.
You can just rebuild the thing yourself with v141_xp.
