uploadReactNativeMappings + fastlane bundleRelease fail #372

Open tastafur opened 3 years ago

tastafur commented 3 years ago

Describe the bug

What happens is that when I add the android bugsnag plugin it compiles an apk for me when I have not requested it, I have only requested an aab file

Steps to reproduce

npx @bugsnag/react-native-cli automate-symbolication
gradle(task: "clean bundleRelease")

Error Cannot provide both apk(s) and aab - use skip_upload_apk, skip_upload_aab, or make sure to remove any existing .apk or .aab files that are no longer needed If I delete this line it works again because it only generates the aab file but if I put it it generates an apk and an aab file

bugsnag {
  uploadReactNativeMappings = true
}

Task gradlews execs

No bugsnag plugin

Task :app:mergeExtDexRelease
Task :app:mergeReleaseJavaResource
Task :app:mergeDexRelease
Task :app:buildReleasePreBundle
Task :app:packageReleaseBundle
Task :app:signReleaseBundle
Task :app:bundleRelease

With bugsnag plugin

Task :app:mergeExtDexRelease
Task :app:mergeDexRelease
Task :app:packageRelease
Task :app:bugsnagReleaseReleaseTask
Task :app:buildReleasePreBundle
Task :app:uploadBugsnagReleaseSourceMaps
Task :app:packageReleaseBundle
Task :app:signReleaseBundle
Task :app:bundleRelease

Environment

Gradle file with the code that fails: ``` apply plugin: "com.android.application" apply plugin: 'com.google.gms.google-services' import com.android.build.OutputFile /** * The react.gradle file registers a task for each build variant (e.g. bundleDebugJsAndAssets * and bundleReleaseJsAndAssets). * These basically call `react-native bundle` with the correct arguments during the Android build * cycle. Hi @tastafur,

Thanks for raising this.

It looks like you may be able to ignore the upload apk/bundle via the fastlane plugin, via the skip_upload_apk, skip_upload_aab flags as a workaround for now, but we will look into addressing the underlying issue of both the apk/aab being generated as soon as we can.

Hello @johnkiely1 ,

If I use the workaround skip_upload_apk. everything works fine.

In the fastlane lane I only do this with your plugin and I have the result commented, thanks

gradle(task: "clean bundleRelease")
upload_to_play_store(
  track: "alpha",
)
