I often want to open a build log at the bottom (i.e. where it stopped) and then start scanning upward for errors. The current UX on the build log view doesn't support this workflow as well as it might
the build log grows dynamically, meaning I need to update my scroll position when new output happens, to see where I was previously. This happens when BK feels like it, as opposed to when I do a thing.
expanding a job to see the log can mean a variable amount of vertical space just got expanded, which is harder to move around with
It would be convenient if
there were fixed-position-inside-viewport controls to jump between jobs within the open pipeline's build
there were a fixed-position-inside-viewport control to bounce up to the top of the pipeline at all times
there were a fixed-position-inside-viewport control to get up to the top of the job at all times, and also to its annotations
I guess those might be done as some sort of treeview on one side, or as a kind of media-player control pad? So whatever it is is fixed-position but also expandable/collapsible, so I can easily use it but then dismiss it so it doesn't occlude things.
