Notes don't work in Version 0.8.4 OSX 10.9 #2824

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open app
2. click on "Note" in the lower left corner
3. nothing happens

Attach your sketch file and/or custom part files to the bug report.

Every sketch.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

It should add a Note.

What version of Fritzing are you using? On what operating system?

Version 0.8.4 with the new nice interface. OSX 10.9.0 

Please provide any additional information below.

bug confirmed. you can also add a note by dragging a "note part" from the core 
parts bin (scroll all the way to the bottom of the bin)
