poor component placement in pcb view when dropping on schematic view

... when I add a part in schematic mode and then switch to pcb mode, the 
component has appeared but usually way off to the right hand side and downward 
from the pcb area, sometimes so far away from the pcb that I have to zoom out 
to full extent to just find the part and then drag it back to the pcb area. I 
am using the latest version of Fritzing but this problem has appeared in all 
versions of Fritzing that I have used. Is it an OS problem or something that I 
can change? ...
