4chan.org use two different types of thumbnails. A big one in the first 
post, and small ones for the rest of them

Better to asign in admin panel the size of thumbnails that we want, maybe even 
to use
imagemagik thing or GD2.

right now you can set the thumbnail-size in the config-file. the only reason I 
see 
to put this in the admin-panel would be that you want different thumbnail-sizes 
for 
each board?

Yep, could be for each board, but  also is better to set the most of the config 
from
the admin section than in the config.php file, that way you could experiment 
with
thumbnail sizes easily than editing and uploading the config.php again and 
again.
