several fixes of EXPECT_TRUE and ASSERT_TRUE that need an real boolean value migration from auto_ptr to unique_ptr in unittests

Hi Shane,

still being worked on. I've got side-tracked with the C++0x support requirement for newer Distros, and I'm also working on getting Travis CI running for Bundy this week. I will update that PR once I've finished the work. I will see if I can withdraw the PR for now.
