this idea makes me think of Rock Band's stage kit and DDR's arcade cabinet lights, which people have made open source versions of:
Rock Band's Stage Kit was decoded in the PlasticBand github ( https://github.com/TheNathannator/PlasticBand ), along with using Santroller ( https://github.com/Santroller/Santroller ) to build one using a Pi Pico or an Arduino. it uses the rumble information the controller gets sent to activate different lights and control the fog machine.
Stepmania/Project Outfox's community team called Tiny Foxes has an arduino lighting github page ( https://github.com/Tiny-Foxes/SM5-Arduino-Lighting ) that shows how their lights are wired and has a link to how that game's engine does its lights.
The idea of having lights that blink to the BPM or a set of lights for a timing window visualizer would be neat, however stuff like this is usually for (as the two other things imply) a performance/stage setting, which might be off putting to people who don't like that stuff. that being said, these are just a couple base points i wanted to put here, since you could probably also set things like motors to devices like that to make things vibrate or move to the game.

Describe the feature you would like
Coding some sort of output signal with OSC values to sync with other devices.
Additional context
If someone can code with Unity, Arduino, Unreal or other coding platforms, maybe is good to see a LIGHT SYNC WITH THE RYTHM!!! YEEEEEEE!!!!
Or something else 👀
