Django 1.10 compatibility fixes

I gave it little bit more time and solved all remaining compatibility issues. Tests are running in Django 1.6-1.10 without much effort, so no need for dropping backward compatibility.

@PetrDlouhy how about I add you to this project and I can keep reviewing any releases to pypi - at least for awhile? I would ask that you:

Only accept pull requests that don't break existing workflows. At least not without discussion. Ensure the code has unit tests included and improves the general code quality.
For new features - we need a level of commitment from the requester or other maintainers. I barely use this app these days and I use only it's most basic functionality. I cannot commit time to new features. We don't want to accept new features and let them break over time because we aren't actively developing them out.
