I am looking into renting Motorola BPR40s or the like.
How many do you need?

Ideally six; we could get away with four.
I found online price at $160 ish each my local source was way above that for purchase. Still waiting on rental answer.
Something like this won't fill our needs? These are $30 per pair. They're UHF/FM.

They could be enough, I am wary of reliability of that kind of radio but they would probably be just fine. whatever we get i would like to be able to have an ear-bud so I can be in the theater and have the radio on and not have it broadcast all over everywhere.

Agreed. Besides, then we've got that 'secret service' cool look ;-)
We need half a dozen UHF walkie-talkies; rent or buy. Seth and Scratch are both going to explore this.
