As a data science team, we need to clearly define the aim and goals of the Wind Turbine Optimization project so that we can align our analysis and modeling efforts to support strategic maintenance decisions. By focusing on cost-effective maintenance solutions, we aim to ensure continuous turbine operation, reduce downtime, and manage maintenance expenses efficiently across different fault types and seasonal cost fluctuations.

Role: Data Science Team at EnergyCo

Goal: Research and select the best optimization library and conduct an initial implementation

Reason: To effectively model and solve the maintenance strategy optimization problem for EnergyCo, ensuring minimized costs and optimal turbine operation.

INVEST Criteria:

• Independent: This story is focused solely on researching and selecting the best optimization library and conducting an initial implementation, meaning it can be completed without depending on other tasks. This allows for more efficient and organized progress.
• Negotiable: The specific libraries to be researched and the criteria for selection can be adjusted based on the team's findings, making this task flexible to accommodate new insights or changes.
• Valuable: Selecting the right optimization tool is crucial because it saves time and effort in the subsequent modeling tasks. It ensures the team is equipped with the best resources to effectively solve the maintenance strategy problem.
