Should we remove the Auto Time Bank feature? #44

Given the number of issues being filed about the Auto Time Bank, and given
that I can't find a way to click in the background without bringing the
window forward (which is apparently a long running issue about
click-through in OS X), should we consider removing or disabling this feature?

IMO, definitely remove this or disable it for now. After the version 1.0
release you can
perhaps resurrect it.

I'd like to say something about it, but I'm still stuck at rev 41, scratching
my head to
remove the bug introduced (apparently only on my system) by the restyling of
the
code...

In principle I agree with steve. I would rather see the option "Auto Press the
'I'm back'
button" than the auto time bank...

Okay, I think that I'm going to go with the majority opinion and remove the
preference item for now. In the mean time, users who *really* want to use it
and are
aware of the difficulties will be able to ask, and we can direct them to use
defaults
to enable/disable it as a hidden preference. If I can ever get this to work
(which
seems unlikely without changes from PokerStars or Apple), I can re-enable the
feature.

Yeah really don't see how anyone would use it

Huh. That does bring up a technical issue I hadn't thought of, though. Unless
I
remove the code entirely, the program will still read the preferences file of
those
people who were using the feature before and didn't turn it off. Am I going to
have
to omit the code entirely, then? Or can we get away with asking people to trash
their prefs?

Ask people who suffer from this to restore the defaults? I imagine it will only
affect a
few people.

Okay, this has been disabled in 0.9.8b (22). I'll see about adding a wiki page
or maybe a troubleshooting
help page (or both).
