README: Features that will NEVER be in BlazingStars. #71

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
To date, there are features that I would love to implement, but which will
never be in BlazingStars because of technical limitations with the poker
client or the operating system. These include:

- Auto time bank. I'm sorry, but I tried it, and it doesn't work because
the OS forces windows that receive a mouse click to pop to the front. This
makes any auto time bank feature completely unusable. If anyone knows how
to get around this, let me know.
- Anything else that requires auto-clicking buttons on windows in the
background, for the same reason.
- Automatic tournament closer; I don't know how to figure out when the
tournaments end, because the log files on OS X aren't the same as they are
on Windows. Also, the same problem as above might cause issues as well.

Note: The Full Tilt client is even more limited than the PokerStars
client. Therefore, some features that are available for PokerStars will
not and cannot be implemented for Full Tilt. I'm sorry, but until Full
Tilt changes their client, there's nothing I can do about this. These
features include:

- Auto-PFR.
- Pot-sized betting.
- Increment/decrement betsize hotkeys.

The other buttons also don't work like they should. The hot-keys seem to just
put the mouse pointer
somewhere and click it. Thus, when the "check" button is in the place that the
"fold" button would normally be
(e.g., when action is checked around to you), you have to press the 'fold'
hot-key in order to check.

Another issue - it seems like every issue that someone has, the response is,
"Oh, I can't do that, and it's not my
fault - it's full tilt." (1) Take some freaking ownership man. Just because
YOU can't do it doesn't mean it cannot
be done. And (2) What is the point of hot-key software that doesn't work?

Andrew,

(1). Wow - ignorant, and loud-mouthed. How about you

A). Show me how I'm wrong and the demonstrate that the things that I'm sure you
can't do with the Full Tilt software are actually possible to do, or
   B). Go screw yourself?

Oh, wait - (A) would require you to have skills and actually contribute to the
project instead of just being a whiny asshole. Let's just stick with (B) then,
shall we?

B). Go screw yourself?

Amen.

I for one am extremely grateful to Steve for all the hard work he has put in on
this
project. Doing what he has done and providing it for FREE is unbelievable!

I use BlazingStars every night when I play and can't thank Steve enough.

andrew nason you need a reality check. This is free software and very good
considering the alternatives. Steve gave you some good reasons for limitations
of the
software, go screw yourself and buy parallels+windows+table ninja. Thank you
for all
the hard work Steve
