Please provide some information: App ver., installed from where, Custom Launcher, Xiaomi, Huawei (MiUi, EMUi) or any of those and have you checked the other pages or there's just 1 ?

I have the exact same problem.

Xiaomi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, HyperOS 1.0.4.0

it just says ''creating shortcut....'' and thats it, the window closes on its own and the shortcut is not on the main screen.

Check/explore and get to know your app info settings and device in general, because such devices (with original firmware) have a separate/additional permission setting than you need to grant/allow for apps to be able to create shortcuts ! I am using Oppo Reno 11 with ColorOS 14.0 and ColorOS Launcher and have the same issue. I found a work around where an android popup appears to confirm if you want to create a shortcut or not. I just didn't choose any of the options else I dragged the icon from there to my home screen and it worked.
