Soundflower no longer working after OS 10.8.4 update. Everything appears to be working visibly, but no sound. #217

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using?  1.6.6

On what operating system?  OSX 10.8.4

Please provide any additional information below.

Icon appears, sound bar suggest presence of sound, system pref set accordingly 
but no sound.

Soundflower had worked for several months previously.

I am having same problem as well. mine stopped working after I upgraded to 
Mountain Lion but am setting at OSX 10.8.4 and on 1.6.6 SF.

I use 10.8.4 with soundflower 1.6.6B but the finder crashes every 10 second

I'm having the same issue with 10.8.5 SFb 1.6.6 installed, 2ch is chosen both 
at the preferences level and in QTP but no sound.

Here's a fix: http://osxdaily.com/2012/05/18/equalizer-for-all-audio-mac-os-x/

You only have to restart after installing Soundflower. Then save the AU Lab app 
in Applications (I saved in Utilities folder). On the AU console, choose the 
Stereo In/ Stereo Out section, choose Soundflower 2 channel for Audio Input and 
for output choose Built-in Output. Create document. A window will open with 
some controls. You can adjust EQ under Effects on the Output panel.
