Hey Monica,
Yeah this is a known error. Its been previously reported. It will be fixed in a few weeks, when i release a new version. Besides the burnin, how are things going?
Hi Ben,
I have been analyzing a lot of hours of video, now with the new version, it is easier. Once I found the adecuate parameters I run 13-14 videos of 30 minutes at the same time at night and 5 videos at the same time during the day, so I can use the laptop for other things (extract data of the Motion Meerkat output to Excel).
I am working with hummingbirds and I have more than 700 hours of video in plants of the cloud forest of Colombia (South America).
The software has been very useful. Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Mónica
Dear Ben,
I have another issue. I can't open MotionMeerkat in another laptop I have that has win7 (it would be very helpful if I can double the analysis with two laptops), because an error appears when I start it. It says:
Kivi Fatal Error GL: Minimun required OpenGL version (2.0) NOT found! OpenGL version detected: 1.1 Version: 1.1.0 Vendor: Microsoft Corporation Renderer: GDI Generic
Try upgrading graphics drivers and/or your graphics hardware in case of problems. This application will leave now.
I already upgrade drivers, I can't upgrade my hardware. What should I do?
Thanks,
Mónica R.
Hi Monica.
I have no idea! Sorry, MotionMeerkat has been downloaded about 300 times, and i've never heard about this one. Checking out this issue here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34969990/kivy-does-not-detect-opengl-2-0, it looks like windows 7 + 32 bit does not work.
Hi Ben,
It is the same error, but I have Win 7 + 64 bit... Previous versions of MotionMeerkat worked well.
:(

Hmm. Were you able to install this same version on a different laptop? So its the laptop, not the version? Let me try to think about what might change among operating systems. I haven't been able to recreate any error on the few machines i have here.

Yes, the same version is working well in a laptop with Win10 + 64bits.

Dear Ben,
I am using Motionmeerkat to analyze some hummingbird videos (.mov), but when I try to delay motion detection this error appears:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 112, in worker
File "MotionMeerkat\motionClass.py", line 824, in wrap
File "MotionMeerkat\motionClass.py", line 160, in prep
AttributeError: Motion instance has no attribute 'frame_count'
Thanks for the help.
Best regards,
Mónica Ramírez
