Update node.js - please help #496

Hi!

I really love this plugin since it allows me to automate major things in my home :) Thanks @bwp91 The plugin needs to work with hombridge 1.6 version and node.js version 14.21.2, 16.19.0 or 18.13.0

I have tried to upgrade the node.js version but I have not been able to do that. I have homebridge installed through synology drive and when I try to upgrade through terminal it asks for a specific password which i do not know. I have tried different options given to me through reddit bit no one worked.

Anyone may have an idea of how I could upgrade or what the password might be?

which version of node are you on now? to be honest you can normally ignore this warning, the plugin actually works with most versions of node

I have homebridge 1.5.1 and node.js version 16.13.2. Up to this moment I have not had any issue, but I am avoiding to upgrade homebridge. Do you know any channel support I can figure out how I can get that password that should allow me to upgrade homebridge? Or maybe another recommendation to install homebridge other than using my synology drive
