Unit tests & Travis Build #8

We should at least get some unit tests set up. Having any set up will also make it easier to add more in the future, as there should at least be some configuration set up to run them too, which will promote more tests being written in the future.

:+1:. we should also look into adding in Travis CI builds of these unit tests (we can use the free one, since opensource). Should be fairly simple to set up and we can get the cool badge in there too :-)
