Started getting the above error when trying to make a new post. Seems like a 400 error would be due to misformatted JSON or something like that.
Taking the opportunity to upgrade to the WP API (the metaWeblog API is deprecated). Progress is in the https://github.com/byorgey/BlogLiterately/tree/wp-api branch.
