When I do all of this I get to "CTRL-EVENT-EAP-SUCCESS EAP authentication completed successfully and even get:
CTRL-EVENT-CONNECTED - Connection to completed [id=0...
but then it INSTANTLY goes to CTRL-EVENT-EAP-STARTED and loops this forever.
I can never seem to get dhcp on the device. I tried upping an eth0.0 with vlan 0 and doing dhcp on that with no success as well, AND i tried running wpa_supplicant and eth0.0 as well with the same results.
Tried setting MAC of device to MAC of the modem i got the certs from (same as in the wpa_supplicant.conf created when i extracted from mfg.dat) and even tried setting it to my current modem (the hacked one is a DSL modem so i can't plug my ONT cable in) Maybe this is happening because the cert is from a DSL modem? The modem I extracted certs for is NVG510.
I'll be happy to provide any logs/details I can if anyone can assist me in determining why this is such a nightmare for me. :~(
Note that if i use EAP proxy it works great, but I've got a new router that doesn't have 3 ports, so i'd VERY much like to use wpa_supplicant
