The led remains off with High brightness selected #10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select High brightness. Of course I have a rooted phone
2. click "on"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'm expecting to see the led turned on but the led is off.
If I don't select "High brightness" the led correctly turns on

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
4/1/2011. Android HTC Desire with Gingerbread 2.3.3 rooted
