Closes #5

validation on pipelines and pipeline_runs
added some features to database class to clean and remove bad items

NOTE: the last new test fails. I am working on it but it does not catch the exception even with a broad Exception clause. Will deal with that Wednesday but wanted to do a PR for you to see now

The tests do not pass for me.

Failing tests have been fixed. Repo is ready to be merged.
