"Chaos Space" refers to a space that triggers a chaotic special event. It is similar to a Special Space, but the types of events are more chaotic. In Mario Party, this would be a Bowser Space. In The Joshies™, this would be a Ball n' Chain Space.
There are 4 types of events that could happen when landing on a Chaos Space:
Everyone Gains Points Based on Rank
(Same as the Special Space Event)
Everyone Loses a Percentage of Their Points
The percentage is specified ahead of time in the Chaos Space Event definition
Everyone Loses a Percentage of Their Points Based on Task Failure
Same as above, but a task is specified (eg: everyone stands on 1 leg for 5 minutes), and only the players who fail the task lose points
Point Swap
2 players swap points. The GM inputs which players swap points.
Any points lost during a Chaos Space Event go into the Bank.
Similar to Special Space Events, Chaos Space Events are their own entities defined outside of a Chaos Space. Special Space Events have their own set of pages for managing/editing/creating.
After creation, Chaos Space Events must be linked to a Chaos Space in the Edit Space page for them to be usable after a player lands on the corresponding Chaos Space.
Similar to Special Space Events, during the Chaos Space Event phase, the "Happening Now" section of the home screen shows all Chaos Space Events for this turn. When a Chaos Space Event has the status waiting_to_begin, there is a "Place Bet" button for the event.
