Cut and paste issues with google docs to create remote decks

Hello. I've created a large remote anki deck using google docs, but to manage my revision I want to create multiple smaller ones. However when I cut and paste the questions from the large google doc into new docs to make smaller remote decks, no questions appear in anki when I add the new remote decks from the smaller google docs. Can you assist please, any advise would be gratefully received? Many thanks

also having a similar issue. copy and paste into google docs = a new deck with no cards in it. not sure why
