Request alternative for PROBA-V : is there another operational soil moisture data source that can potentially be used?

Is the Sentinel-1 and ASCAT already available on C-SCALE VMWare or accessible through the European Cloud?

Dear @sperna , At SURF we do not have our own data EO holding and I fear that I am not a domain expert. However, I do have a reasonable overview of the different data providers. Could you tell me what particular data sets you think would be suitable to replace PROBA-V? I can then check what we could find for you. kind regards, Raymond

Instead of PROBA-V data we will use Sentinel1-backscatter level2 soil moisture data. These are available from the Global Land Surface. Deltares will script and dockerize a download routine. Need to check whether data storage is still ok.
